Formed in Newark, Delaware in 2004, The Scenic Route is an indie rock band featuring Jeremy Beck (lead vocals, guitar), Jason Brezski (guitar, vocals), and brothers Jason Ciccaglione (bass), and Michael Ciccaglione (drums, vocals). The Scenic Route is a band defined by its boundless creative energy. Completed songs are rarely rehearsed because when these four musicians and friends assemble, the simplest guitar noodling groove sparks the fire and they find themselves ambushed by an onslaught of new material.

When asked about The Scenic Routes sound, drummer Mike Ciccaglione says, I guess it depends on the song. It can swirl with a deep hypnotic rhythm or it can stab you like a prison shank. One common factor we all need is some mystery. We dont want to create math problems, you need to feel it immediately, but there needs to be some mystery.

The Scenic Route released their Debut EP (self-titled) in July 2005. The new e.p. features four songs produced by both The Scenic Route and Matt Muir (Palais Royale Studios).

Currently, The Scenic Route is scheduled to start recording a full length LP at the end of April 2007. The Scenic Route is booking shows for their CD release in the summer of 2007. Stay in touch to hear about the release dates.
